In 2001, Liora Tedgi, a mother of ten, transformed her personal tragedy into a beacon of hope.
Liora was caught in a suicide bombing attack in Jerusalem, where a terrorist detonated a car bomb near her. At that very moment, she was pregnant with twins. Due to the explosion and severe trauma, she tragically lost one of her unborn children and was left with only one.
From that moment, Liora’s life changed forever. Throughout her journey of recovery and coping with unimaginable hardship, she was blessed to meet two guiding lights in her life. Rabbi Meir Brandsdorfer and his wife Rebbetzin Bracha Brandsdorfer.
This is how the name “Ohr Meir & Bracha” was born a mission-driven organization dedicated to one clear goal: supporting and saving the lives of terror victims.
Light At the End of the Tunnel
Terror victims often find themselves without sufficient governmental recognition or support. In addition to the immense grief and emotional toll they endure, they face numerous other challenges—including falling into poverty, living in isolation, and struggling with PTSD and anxiety.
Ohr Meir & Bracha is dedicated to restoring hope for all victims of terror by providing comprehensive support for every need that may arise. From food and essential supplies to organizing events, holiday celebrations, and distributing warm clothing—we are here to help.
Ohr Meir & Bracha is, above all, a lifeline. Our unwavering commitment is reflected in the tireless dedication of our volunteers, who work around the clock with extraordinary passion and care—ensuring that every terror victim feels embraced, supported, and never forgotten.

For over 20 years, Ohr Meir & Bracha has distributed 6 tons of food weekly and 30 tons during the holidays.
The organization reaches soldiers across Israel, supplying them with everything they need and providing unwavering support during times of war.
