Who We Are
Ohr Meir & Bracha was founded in 2001 by Liora Tedgi, a mother of ten, who miraculously survived a terror attack in Jerusalem when a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb near her while she was pregnant with twins.
Following this life-altering event, Liora decided to establish an organization dedicated to providing aid, support, and a compassionate response to terror victims and their families. From this vision, Ohr Meir & Bracha was born.
Sadly, acts of terror frequently occur in Israel, claiming lives and leaving families shattered—both emotionally, physically and mentally.
With heavy hearts, we must acknowledge that families affected by terror often do not receive adequate support from the government. Without full-scale assistance from compassionate individuals and organizations, these families would struggle to reclaim a sense of normalcy and hope.
We are here to provide comprehensive, 360-degree support to every terror victim—from essential food aid to uplifting and enriching activities for the soul.
